¡Hola, estudiantes!

Today we learned some sequencing phrases in Spanish.  Primero, entonces, luego, antes and despues. Antes and despues need the "de" before a noun or an infinitive.  We will have more practice on this.  See page 154 and 155.  Ex. 11 has a beautiful model paragraph that we translated.  It shows the use of sequencing phrases.

Tarea: After studying our vocabulary (p. 167) for a few weeks, using the terms in class, the crossword puzzle, etc., we should be well ready to have tomorrow's quiz.   Study your vocab. again for
tomorrow's:
matching vocab quiz.  If you would like to study at lunch, the room will be open to you.  Spelling will not be an issue, you will need to recognize the words.  You will have to choose one of the three verbs, oír, ver and hacer to conjugate.

Students received the exam review guide for 2.3.

Announcement: After the break, we will postpone our exam 2.3. exam. Originally, it was scheduled for Wednesday, however; we will shift it to Friday in order to finish our restaurant skits. We will also have a verb quiz on that Wednesday.

¡¡Hola, estudiantes!!

Hay 7 días más hasta el receso. (There are 7 more days until break)--
In class today students worked on "going to do something" phrases.  I introduced the "personal a" as well.
Every class (except 2nd hour) had to turn in the crossword puzzle from yesterday.  Students continue  presenting restaurant dramas.  March miracle events will also take place, so we will need another day or so on those presentations.

Tarea :  finish worksheet on "going to do" and study the vocabulary.(p. 167)  We have a quiz next week on our vocabulary.  (2nd hour also the crossword!)

Students received the review for the 2.3 exam. This is not due until next week, I handed it out early!! The answers to the review will be posted later so that even those that leave early for break will be able to check their work.

Examen 2.3 Wednesday (el 11 de marzo) after break.

Beginning 6--Chapter 2 quizzes are posted except for one of the girls' classes.  Wow!  Great job by most of the students.  We will begin the big story next.
